*Happy Birthday: Joe Dykstra, matthew Donker, Randy Breukelman
*Prayer Needs:
Joe Dykstra had a Great report this past week from his MRI. The cyst on his
brain is gone! Praise God for answer prayers. Sue Grebe, sister of Deb Overweg,
was diagnosed with a rare blood disorter called TTP which clots the blood and
affects the organs. Please pray for healing for Debs sister Sue. If the blood
treatments don't work she will have to have surgery. Please continue to pray for
Sheila Ries. Roy Bennett, Corky Donker & Marge Feenstra as they are dealing
with health issues. Those dealing with cancer; Elaine VanDenOever, Evalou Plamp,
John Holzwarth (Marcia Schuldt’s dad). Kevin Karhoff, Adyson Hauert Clarion
Van Drongelen and Arlene Kayser who was just recently diagnosed with cancer and
will be start 6 weeks of chemo and radiation to shrink the tumor in her colon
before they do surgery .
*Please remember in your prayers our service women and men: Steven Edoff
(Betty (Dykstra) Selchert’s son in law) is in Afghanistan until December. He
is in the field artillery. Matt Mulder who is stationed in Kuwait. Austin and
Cody Walswich (Jim & Betty Tegethoff’s granddaughter and husband) who are
serving in the Maries. Austin is serving in Afghanistan and Cody is serving in
Japan.
*Congratulations to Michelle and Steven Edoff who were blessed with a baby
boy (James Alan) this week. James was born with an infection and had some
brathing troubles and is in the NICU. Please remember them in your prayers as
Steven is serving in Afghanistan.
*Remember our shut-ins: Frances Hansum in Platte Care Center, Ray &
Johanna Olivier and Lillian Van Genderen in the Corsica Nursing Home; Henrietta
Bultje in Brady Home; Adrian DeWaard at the Salem Nursing home.
*Today we celebrate sacrament of baptism for the daughter of Tom and Kristie
Ogle.

*Thank you to Von Van Genderen for ministering to us in music this morning.
He was arranged by John Arlyn & Natalie Nydam.
*Thank you to our church family for all the prayers and support concerning my
recent MRI. Praise God there was no evidence of the cyst remaining, so the
procedure done in March was an answer to prayer.I will have another follow up
MRI in 6 months. Joe Dykstra
*The Dakota Tom sandwich fund raiser brought in $1,147.00. THANK YOU for
supporting our youth.

*NO evening services here at Aurora Reformed tonight.
*Ascension Day service will be on May 17th at 7:00 PM at the Aurora
Reformed Church. This includes the area churches in New Holland, Harrison and
Corsica.
*Kevin Rogers, the son of Mae and Bud Niewenhius, was killed in a bicycle-
pickup accident August 18, 2010. Pastor Kevin Schnieder from Good News Reformed
Church in Sioux Falls is coming to First Reformed in Harrison to tell how God is
using Kevin's death to touch lives for His kingdom. Be in Harrison (North
Church) May 20 at 7:00 pm for a service of praise and worship followed by a time
of fellowship. There will be no service next week in the evening so that we can
attend this service.
*The Aurora Center Sr. RCYF along with the Stickney St.Mary's Church High
School Youth Group will be serving a spaghetti supper fund raiser in the AC
fellowship hall on May 23 starting at 6:00.. Proceeds will go for the mission
trip to Chicago.
*The Aurora Reformed Church Vacation Bible school will presenting GO FISH -
Backstage With The Bible June 4-8 from 6:15 till 9 daily. Parents are requested
to register your child(ren) by calling Linda at 680-4620. To order supplies in
time, contact her by May 20. Children age 4 (by June 1) to children going into
the 8th grade are welcome. All participants will need to bring a Bible every
day.
*VBS is in need of someone to help decorate the fellowship hall and church
before VBS begins on June 4. Please talk to Linda if you can help. cell
